Thank you for these videos. My wife and I of 11 years are really struggling. I know it's been mainly me at the fault of this, but these videos are eye opening, and making me quite upset with myself. Which is good. Like how was I not seeing everything i was doing wrong, and in some case not doing things at all. This is the help I needed, and pray I'm not too late to rectify everything. I love her with all that I am, and cannot imagine life without her. Our song was always God Gave Me You. I still truly believe that.

What if he has mental health problems that treatment isn’t helping and no matter how much unconditional love and passion you pour in, he still hurts you on a regular basis and he says he’s sorry but he never SHOWS he’s sorry. So wives just want to include their husbands in their psychological suffering? They don’t actually want their suffering fixed? They just want their husbands to listen to it but not try to fix and relieve their suffering? They just want to suffer together I’m asking honestly? It depends on the age of the kids and circumstances. If the kids are almost 18 and older, then my spouse comes first.

This advice won't work if both people don't want to make it better. Otherwise your going to have one person pouring everything into the relationship while the other one just takes. Guess who ends up with a mental health crisis when their depleted?

You make it sound so easy. Flight is the only thing I know that works. Once emotionally hurt women in general will go to very dark places. I get we are the protectors but this is not as easy as just saying don't get upset

I am telling her the facts of a situation. I treat her like she treats me then she is mad about it. Any mature adult should be able to verbalize their issues in a reasonable manner. I used to get upset and my tone and volume of voice reflected my anger. She said that was the reason she used to avoid conversations. I fixed that, I no longer raise my voice or over talk her. I give plenty of time in between questions for her to reply. Oftentimes, hours, days and weeks have gone by waiting for her to respond or when she says I cant talk about this right now. Just as I thought from early on these were smokescreens, meant to distract me. I began taking notes during the conversations and even suggested we record the conversations. She was adamantly against recording the conversations. If there is something I want to clearly communicate I will email or text to have a record of what we both have said as well as the words used. TRUTH triggers anger when she has painted herself into a corner. I can always tell when she knows she is wrong she will cook nice breakfasts, lunches, dinners and cleans up the kitchen afterwards... That is her peace offering. I am just not allowing her to be unaccountable to the facts.

Men, I know everyone is always telling you everything is all your fault. Its not. And your needs and feelings are sometimes actually valid, if you can believe it.

Some of this is good advice. Try to love your wife, create a trusting environment, be there for her. But women are not infants. They have agency, don't they? They are just as much to blame for troubles in marriage as men. By putting all of the onus on the man you are man to essentially single handedly carry the marriage like Christ on the cross. What manner of partnership is this? This is the same as being alone, just with more suffering and less money. Marriage is a partnership. It takes mutual love, respect, and trust.
